Sobre los escudos

Creo que fue Henry James quien observó, al hablar de prólogos (...), que cuando un trabajo de literatura creativa se presenta al lector en detalle, cuando la ficción es interpretada, explicada y anotada en exceso, es como si un invitado a cenar fuera traído a casa por un policía.
